Kunri MPA, Nazim join PML-Q

KARACHI: An independent MPA from Kunri Dost Muhammad Memon and his father Jam Memon, Nazim Talukha Kunri, have joined the ruling Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q).

The MPA and his father announced this on Friday after holding a meeting with Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim at the Chief Minister’s House. They expressed full confidence in the leadership of Arbab Ghulam Rahim and assured him to serve the people from PML’s platform.

Later talking to newsmen, the chief minister declared that the PML would sweep the coming general election as the party was gaining popularity due to its policies. He hoped that the PML and all allied parties would contest the elections jointly. He claimed that the people had appreciated the PML’s policies, adding that they would vote for the PML and President Pervez Musharraf.

The chief minister said that more friends would join the party after the joining of Nuzhat Pathan, an independent MPA and a talukha Nazim. He said that there had been a record development in Sindh and added that the PML was serving the people without any discrimination.
