Rs 7m for schools upgrade

JHELUM: DCO Mirza Mehmood-ul-Hassan has said for primary and elementary schools Rs 11 million have been allocated.
Speaking at a meeting here on Saturday, he said Rs 7 million had been allocated for upgrade of high schools, Rs 7 million for clean drinking water, Rs 313 million for construction of Jada underpass, Rs 437 million for roads, Rs 355 million for upgrade of DHQ Hospital, Rs 65 million for Dina Underpass and Rs 350 million for construction of Tehsil Complex, Dina. The DCO said special grant from the CM will be utilised for completion of MPAs and MNAs development schemes in Jhelum.
POPULATION WALK TOMORROW: On account of World Population Day, District Population Office has arranged a walk on Monday. The walk will be led by District Population Officer Mazhar Iqbal and it would start at 10 am. MNA Raja Muhammad Asad would address the participants at the end of the walk as a chief guest.
