Karachi At least 335 students were awarded Bachelors and Masters’ degrees in the 23rd Convocation of FAST-National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, which was held on Saturday at its main campus. Of them, 266 candidates were awarded Bachelors degree, while 69 obtained Master’s degree. The Bachelors’ degrees were awarded in four disciplines i.e. Telecom Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science and Business Administration. The Masters degrees were awarded in three disciplines i.e. Computer Science, Management Science and Software Project Management. Dr Amir Muhammed, Rector, National University of Computer & Emerging Science, was the chief guest. On the occasion, gold, silver and bronze medals were awarded to the position holders. Ariba Tahir received gold medal and Noor Us Sahar received silver medal in Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programme. In the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Telecom Engineering, Muhammad Noman received gold medal, Muhammad Faraz and Anum Naeem received silver medal and Hameeda Nawaz received bronze medals. In the BS programme of Computer Science Taha Rafiq, Faisal Ali and Farrukh Ahmed received the gold, silver and bronze medals respectively. In Masters of Science (MS) Software Project Management, Ghulam Mujtaba received gold medal, Arsalan Ahmed received silver medal and Waqas Mahmood received bronze medal. In Masters in Business Administration (MBA) programme, Sandeep Kumar received gold medal and Rashmina Salim Lalani received silver medal. Dr Amir Muhammed congratulated the graduates and their parents. He said that the university has been producing high quality graduates by maintaining the high standard of academic excellence. He advised the graduates to be sincere to the country.
