KARACHI: Bodybuilder Aamir Rahim Bux will leave for Florida from here on Tuesday to flex his muscles in the Mr Universe bodybuilding competitions to be staged in Miami from June 18-19.
Around a hundred bodybuilders from across the world will try to enchant the atmosphere through their display which they have developed after undergoing strenuous training.
Aamir, also former Mr Pakistan and ranked No 7 in the world, hoped that he would return victorious from the event.
“I have undergone tough training for six months and I’m confident of lifting the title,” Aamir said during a press conference here at the Karachi Press Club on Saturday.
“Mr Universe competitions are being held under the American Sports Board and the said Board does not contact the federation of any country but rather directly invites the bodybuilders for such slots.
“I was also invited in 2009 and 2010 for the World Championships.” Aamir was picked for the slots after finishing seventh in the World Musclemania Championship in Florida last year.
