Rehman Malik working for foreign agencies: JUP From Our Correspondent OKARA: Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan secretary general Qari Zawar Bahadur has accused Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik of working for foreign agencies. Addressing a press conference at Okara Press Club here on Wednesday, he said that after unanimous resolution of the parliament against drone attacks, the US had increased the attacks. He asked the Jamaat-e-Islami and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leaders to shun their differences and forge unity among their ranks. He said that Pakistan had offered innumerable sacrifices in the war against terror, but America was still demanding ‘Do More’. He said that the rulers were helpless in stopping the American drone attacks. He criticised the opposition parties for quarrelling over petty issues. He demanded the Punjab government provide relief to the masses in the provincial budget, saying that the federal budget had not given any relief to the nation. He asked the chief minister to control law and order in the province. “By voting against Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri as opposition leader in the Senate, the JI has caused a great loss to the efforts for unity among religious parties,” he maintained. Contracting marriage before ‘Iddat’ Couple, nikahkhwan booked on rape charge From Our Correspondent OKARA: A woman, her husband and nikahkhwan were booked on rape charge for contracting marriage before the completion of the ‘Iddat’. Zareena Bibi, a resident of Ratta Khanna Road, Depalpur, got divorce from Muhammad Akhtar sometimes back. Before completing her Iddat, she remarried Bashir Ahmad and Maulvi Khalil Ahmad solemnised their nikah. Her former husband moved court, which ordered a case. The Depalpur City police have registered a case.
Man booked for miscarriage From Our Correspondent OKARA: A man was booked for forcing his married daughter to have an abortion. Lubna Bibi, daughter of Manzoor, of 4/4L village was married to Allah Ditta. She became pregnant. Her father Manzoor allegedly demanded Rs 600,000 from his son-in-law Allah Ditta, which he refused. Later, Manzoor got aborted his daughter through a midwife Bilqees Bibi. The Okara Sadr police have registered a case.
