Book on Pakistan’s Muslim sects published
June 08, 2011
Islamabad
With a view to fight the curse of sectarianism and save the nation from the resultant ignominy throughout the world, and also in deference to the desire of Islamic Ideology Council (IIC), “Pakistan Ke Deeni Masalik” has been published containing religious beliefs of all the recognized schools of thought. The most significant point is that all the noted religious scholars of each school of thought have concurred on all the contents of the book which itself is a big achievement against the background of growing sectarian hatred.
The 384 pages book contains chapters about Barelvi, Deobandi, Ahle Hadith, Shia, and Ismaailia sects and can rightfully be claimed as the first serious effort to stem the rising tide of sectarian hatred. The book gives a simple lesson: to seek the blessings of Allah Almighty in one’s own way while removing any mutual misunderstanding.
Every effort has been made to include the thinking and philosophy and different problems of every school of thought. Credit must be given to Mr Saqib Akbar who embarked upon this path with devotion.
The epoch-making book has been published this year by Al Baseerah Islamabad. The book has been endorsed by highly learned and respected scholars like Maulana Mufti Mohammad Siddique Hazarvi, and Maulana Mufti Ghulam Mustafa Rizvi, members IIC; Mufti Gulzar Ahmad Naeemi, head of Jamia Naeemia, Islamabad; Maulana Mufti Ghulamur Rehman, head Jamia Usmania, Peshawar; Hafiz Zafarullah Shafique, Khateeb Jamia Masjid Cavalry Ground Lahore; Prof Dr Sohail Hasan, Islamic Research Institute IIU Islamabad; Dr Hafiz Ibtisam Elahi Zaheer, Nazime Ala Jamiat Ahle Hadith Pakistan; Maulana Maqsood Ahmad Salfi, Director Idara-Al Islami Peshawar; Maulana Hafiz Riaz Hussain Najafi, head Jamia Al Muntazir, Lahore; Maulana Iftikhar Hussain Naqvi, head Madrasah Imam Khomeini, Mari Indus.
