KPRA amends taxpayers’ registration process

PESHWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) announced on Wednesday that the process of registration has been made transparent, easy and taxpayers-friendly to facilitate its stakeholders.

The KPRA press release said the taxpayers can easily registered themselves now with the Authority to increase the provincial revenue.

The KPRA have made certain amendments to its regulations regarding withholding agent sales tax special procedure regulation 2015, where now, withholding agent not only deposit tax to the provincial government but can also provide information to the Authority regarding taxpayers, the release said.

KPRA Director General Muhammad Nasir Khan said that the amendments would not affect the common man as well as the employees of private educational institutions.

The director general stated that financial sustainability of the province was one of the core objectives of KPRA, which could be achieved with the cooperation of all stakeholders.

He further said that the taxpayers especially restaurants, motor bargainers, property realtors, wedding halls owners, beauty parlors, and others such service providers should registered their services with KPRA.

He vowed the authority would not bear any lethargy in the process of registration and all the officials will cooperate with the taxpayers in this regard.
