90pc area of Mohmand Agency cleared of militants: PA

GHALLANAI: The phase-wise repatriation of the internally displaced persons would be completed in Mohmand Agency till March 10 as 90 percent area had been purged of militants, an official said on Tuesday.
Talking to reporters at Dab Kor in Anbar Tehsil, Mohmand Agency Political Agent Amjad Ali Khan said that upper Anbar, Dawezai and Sagi areas had been cleared and the political administration would provide all facilities to the returning people.
Around 20 families displaced because of operation from upper Anbar have started returning home. “The Army provided ration to the families,” the political agent said. The official claimed that during the three-week military action, 120 militants including seven commanders, were killed and 50 others were arrested.
