Woman shot dead in Pakpattan

PAKPATTAN: A woman was shot dead over a domestic dispute at Chak Mughlawla on Monday.
Accused Muhammad Yousaf and his sons Muhammad Amjad and Muhammad Arshad allegedly shot dead Arshad Bibi. Police have registered a case.
MAN SHOT DEAD: An old man was shot dead here on Monday.
Allah Ditta was on his way when some unidentified people shot him dead and fled. Police have registered a case.
ELECTROCUTED: A youth electrocuted at Chak Chawant on Monday.
Muhammad Zubair was cutting fodder from an electric machine when suddenly his hands touched a livewire. As a result, he received electric shocks and died on the spot.
DACOITIES: Three dacoity incidents were reported here on Monday.
Shamoon Khan was on his way by a bike when dacoits snatched cash and a cell phone from him. Five thieves stole valuables of Muhammad Din at Chak Malikpur. Four dacoits entered the house of Fayyaz at Chak Jumman Shah and stole a bike. Police have registered separate cases.
WOMAN RAPED: A woman was raped at Chak Mauza Koriya on Monday.
Accused Jehangir allegedly raped a girl when she came at his shop to buy clod drinks. Police have registered a case.
2 BOOKED: Police on Monday booked two fertilizer dealers for overcharging in separate incidents. They are Muhammad Khalid Malik and Muhammad Javed.

Power, gas loadshedding irk masses

PAKPATTAN: People are facing several problems due to 14 hours long power and Sui gas loadshedding in the city and its adjoining areas.
The power and gas supply remained suspended for several hours without any prior notice from the authorities which paralysed life besides affecting business activities. Women could not cook food for their families due to gas suspension. The people have demanded the authorities take notice of the issue. Meanwhile, the people also condemned the Mepco decision to increase rate of electricity per unit.

security for Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW)

PAKPATTAN: DCO Haidar Iqbal has said that tight security arrangements have been taken to avoid any untoward incident on the Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW).
He was addressing a meeting here on Monday. The DCO instructed to the TMOs of Pakpattan and Arifwala tehsils to clean the cities immediately.
