Music festival trophy goes to GCU

THE Government College University’s Nazir Ahmed Music Society (NAMS) has lifted the team trophy at the 10th All Pakistan Music Festival, held at the Chand Bagh School, beating the singers from the 72 prime educational intuitions of Pakistan.
According to a press statement, the GCU won the trophy for the sixth year. GCU student Imran Fida was declared the best singer of the festival while Punjab University student Shoaib Abbas and Lahore Grammar School singer Ahmed Awais secured the second and third positions in the singing category respectively.
GCU student Mohsin Abbas was declared the best instrumentalist of the festival while Punjab University student Shahbaz and Government College Civil Lines student Ahmed Raza bagged the second and third positions respectively in this category.
