Lawyers observe strike in Nankana

NANKANA SAHIB: The District Bar Association members on Wednesday observed a complete strike against the bomb blasts of Lahore and Karachi.
The lawyers boycotted the courts proceedings to register their protest. Meanwhile, DBA president Ch Haq Nawaz and secretary general Rai Muhammad Nawaz Kharral condemned the blasts and said that whole nation was united against terrorism.
FIVE INJURED IN ACCIDENTS: Five persons were seriously injured in separate accidents here on Wednesday.
Ejaz Ahmad, Zafar Iqbal, Javed Iqbal and Faisal Akbar were seriously injured when two motorcycles collided with each other near Bypass Bucheki. In the second incident, Idrees was seriously injured when his motorcycle slipped near Buchana Road.
CALL TO ANNOUNCE RELIEF PACKAGE FOR FARMERS: Kisan Agri Forum divisional president Malik Mehboob Alam has said that imposing tax on farmers is injustice with them.
He said this while addressing a press conference here on Wednesday. He said that a bag of urea fertilizer was being sold at Rs 3,150 instead of Rs 1,150 whereas the government was doing nothing for farmers. He said that constant increase in the prices of electricity, oil and fertilizer had created several problems for farmers. He demanded the government announce special relief package for farmers.
DACOITY: An incident of a dacoity was reported near Green Market on Wednesday.
Four unidentified bandits forced their entry into the house of Sheikh Amjad and took away Rs 1 million and four mobiles from them.
