Kids performances mesmerise audience

Students participated with full enthusiasm in their Annual Parents Day 2011 of AM Anglo Montessori and College was held here on Saturday at a local hotel.
The children were full of energy, vibrancy and confidence that showed from their glowing faces while trying their best to impress their parents with their confidence and creative abilities.
Lieutenant General (r) Masood Parvez was the chief guest on the occasion. All the parents appreciated each and every presentation by the students and waited with anticipation their children to perform on stage. The programme started with recitation of Holy Qura’an by Moazam Siddiq, while the translation was read by Malaika Iqbal. Naat was presented by Uzma Zahid coordinator of senior section. In Montessori Programme Shah-e-Madina was presented by the whole nursery class. Prep class presented a spectacular fancy dress show, while P.G class performed on rhymes. It was followed by a karate performance by Mr. Sarfaraz.
In School Section Performance, Class 1 presented ‘A is for Allah’ of Sami Yousuf, ‘Junoon se aur Ishq se’ was presented by class III, ‘Janan’ was presented by class 6th and 7th by Malaika and Sidra, Class 4 presented drama ‘Satan meeting’. Parody of Charlie Chaplin was presented by Umar Afraz of class 7, which was enjoyed by everyone. The parents highly appreciated children’s performance on Afghani, Baluchi and Pakhtoon dances and Punjabi ‘luddi’.
There were many other performances of the students that were appreciated by the guests.
Honorary Administrator Captain (r) Ameeruddin Sheikh while speaking on the occasion said: “This is the first time we have invited somebody as a chief guest in our function otherwise its been our tradition that on parents day only parents are invited and they are the VIPs in our function.” The Principal Lubna Jahangir thanked the parents for sitting so long and duly appreciating the teachers in helping the kids to entertain

their parents in such a wonderful way.
Later, the chief guest distributed certificates among the students and the principal declared a holiday on Monday.
