LAHORE: The Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) has launched a ‘Corporate Briefings Program,’ which aims at enabling listed companies to brief their stakeholders in the stock exchange setting.
According to a statement issued on Monday, Managing Director LSE, Aftab Ahmed Chaudhry, said that the programme is being organised by the LSE on an invitation basis to the most important companies having large investors following.
This would give the companies an opportunity to further market and promote their business strategies and performance, he added. Treet Corporation Ltd. is the first listed company of LSE to give a briefing to its members and investors. Group Director, Syed Sheharyar Ali, Executive Director, Muhammad Shafique Anjum, CFO, Amir Zia, and Company Secretary, Ayaz Ahmed, gave presentations in the LSE Auditorium. The briefing session was attended by the members, their agents and investors.
Zia updated the investors about the current operations, latest plans, developments and future prospects of the company. He said that Treet Corporation Ltd. has decided to raise funds through Participation Term Certificates. “The certificates will be issued after the approval of SECP and the Stock Exchanges in March 2011.
The amount raised through these certificates will be utilised to replace existing bank borrowings. After retirement of the debt, the company’s profitability and EPS are expected to increase,” he maintained.
