The Sindh Police Department has transferred SP Anti-Encroachment Cell (AEC) and suspended a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and a Station House Officer (SHO) on the directives of the Sindh government, sources said. The sources, however, claimed that political pressure on the police department might be a reason for the action against the said policemen, who led a major crackdown in the recent past against certain land grabbers who had political backing.
