Promotions of 200 babus recommended

ISLAMABAD: The Central Selection Board Friday concluded its four-day meeting of promotion of the bureaucrats in grade 20 and 21 and its recommendations would be sent to Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for final approval and subsequently notification.

The Board meeting was headed by Chairman Public Service Commission Naveed Akram Cheema. It recommended promotion of over 200 officers of different service groups in grade 20 and grade 21.

The last meeting of the Central Selection Board was held in December 2016 and according to services rules, the CSB meeting should be held after every six months.

Prime Minister Abbasi has also given the task to the Establishment Division to streamline issues related to bureaucracy. The Prime Minister had chaired the High Powered Selection Board meeting twice in last six months.

In Friday meeting, the Central Selection Board recommended promotion of ex-cadre officers in grade 20 and 21 and recommended to promote the doctors posted in different hospitals in grade 20 including Dr Mazhar Badshah, Dr Imran Sikandar, Dr Arshad Janjua, Dr Shahbana Zafar, Dr Waqar Sheikh, Dr Zahid Larik, Dr Shela Zamir in grade 20.

Besides, the CSB has also recommend eight officials of Customs Group for promotion in grade 21 that includes Saud Imran, Syed Muhammad Tariqm, Wasif Ali Memon,
