KU researcher gets international award

Dr Hina Siddiqui, Research Officer at the International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), Karachi University (KU), has been awarded the best oral presentation award in the 11th Eurasia Conference on Chemical Sciences, held between 6 and 10 this month in Jordan.
According to ICCBS spokesman, “She was awarded this honour from over 200 oral presentations of scientists from 69 countries.” Moreover, the registration fee of Dr Siddiqui was waived for the upcoming 12th Eurasia Conference on Chemical Sciences, 2012, in Greece.
Dr Siddiqui has completed her PhD under supervision of Director ICCBS Prof Dr M Iqbal Chaudhary at HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry, KU. She has also worked at the Dept of Chemistry, University of Kansas, USA.
KU Vice Chancellor Prof. Pirzada Qasim, former Chairman HEC Prof Dr Atta-ur-Rehman and Director ICCBS Prof M Iqbal Chaudhary congratulated Dr Hina on her achievement.
