MQI foundation day celebrated

THE 30th foundation day of Minhaj ul Quran International was celebrated on Sunday. a press release said a ceremony to mark this day was held in the central secretariat of Minhaj ul Quran International which was addressed by Sheikh ul Islam Dr Mohammed Tahir ul Qadri via telephone from Canada.
Faiz ur Rehman Durrani, Brig (Retd) Iqbal Ahmed Khan, Sheikh Zahid, Raja Jamil Ajmal, GM Malik and other leaders of MQI were also present on the occasion. Slogans of ‘Jeevay Jeevay, Tahir Jeevay” were chanted by the members of MQI. Addressing the gathering, Dr Tahir ul Qadri stated that MQI, which started its operations from Lahore 30 years ago has turned into a global movement with its network and branches spread across five continents. He said it was the biggest movement of the Islamic world, which was busy in promoting Islamic message of love, peace, harmony and interfaith harmony.
