Pre-Haj flights from Peshawar start today

PESHAWAR: The pre-Haj operation will start today (Monday) as PIA, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and Airport Security Force (ASF) have finalised arrangements for transportation of pilgrims to the holy land.
According to a press release issued here Sunday, a total of 25,691 pilgrims will depart from Peshawar airport. Out of the total, 22,366 will board PIA flights while the remaining 3,325 will use Saudi Airline.
Apart from providing adequate facilities to the pilgrims, necessary arrangements have also been made for providing foolproof security to the passengers and their relatives both at the airport and Haji Camp.
On the first day of pre-Haj operation, flight will depart at 2025 hours. A total of 60 flights will be operated with 327 pilgrims on board each flight.Other facilities included provision of separate immigration counters for the pilgrims. Medical Staff of CAA and Health Department has also been deputed for Haj lounge.
