Security beefed up for parliament session

Islamabad: The Islamabad Police have made comprehensive security arrangements in the city for the ongoing session of the parliament and ensured extra deployment outside the Parliament House, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Tahir Alam Khan said.
Police commandos have been deputed around sensitive locations and important buildings while special police teams have been constituted by police stations for effective patrolling in their respective jurisdictions.
Extra vigilance is being made and additional deployment of police personnel has been ensured at important locations of the city, including crossings.
The SSP has issued special directives to all senior police officials to conduct checking themselves at all pickets in their areas and make security system more effective.
He has also directed for effective coordination among all wings of the Islamabad Police, including operational police, CID and Special Branch.
