Two killed in road accidents

A SEVEN-year-old boy was run over and killed by a speeding car in the jurisdiction of Mozang police on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Mazhar, a resident of the Mozang area. Police said the victim was crossing Ferozpur Road when a speeding car hit and injured him. He succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
In another accident, a 25-year-old youth was killed by a speeding van in the Chuburgi area. The deceased was identified as Adnan. Police said that the victim was waiting for a bus near Chuburgi Stop when a speeding van hit him and he died on the spot. Police handed the body to his family.
Meanwhile, A 40-year-old unidentified man was found dead in a drain in Kahna area on Thursday. Police said the deceased was murdered by some unidentified persons who later threw his body into drain. Some locals of the area spotted the body stuck with the bridge of the aforesaid drain. Later, police reached the spot and, after taking out the body from the drain, shifted it to city morgue for autopsy.
