2.5 maund charas seized

MURIDKE: Sadr police seized 2.5 maunds of charas from a car on GT Road. The raiding police party recovered 2.5 Police said drug pushers managed to escape after resorting to firing in air.
35 SHOPKEEPERS ARRESTED: Price Control Magistrates Jawad-ul-Hassan Gondal and Anjuman Zaka Butt checked prices of edibles at Kot Abdul Malik, Burj Attari, Ferozewala and Rachna Town and arrested 35 shopkeepers for overcharging. Sasta Ramazan Bazaars have been set up at Muridke, Ferozewala and Kot Abdul Malik under the directives of Sheikhupura DCO.
PTCL employees continue strike

MURIDKE: PTCL employees Tuesday continued their strike for 50pc rise in their salaries as announced by the government.
They also demanded increase in medical allowance. They said the government gave 50pc increase in salaries, medical allowance and other allowance to all government employees, but PTCL employees have been deprived of the benefits. PTCL employees throughout the district stopped their work as a result of which phones of Tehsil of Muridke, Ferozewala and Sharqpur were badly affected and consumers suffered a lot. The PTCL Employee Trade Union vowed to continue their strike throughout the district till the acceptance of their demands.
