PAKISTAN Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan has said both the mainstream political parties have been acting as puppets of the US.

Addressing public meetings in connection with the election campaign of PTI candidate Mian Hamid Meraj in NA-123 by-elections, Imran said both the parties had caused disappointment in people by their opportunist attitude and corruption, bringing about price hike, unemployment and lawlessness. He said real opposition would definitely have saved the masses from the problems.

Imran Khan accused the rulers of using the masses as fuel in the US war on terror, adding that getting rid of the mainstream political agents of Washington had become indispensable to salvage the country.

He urged the masses to support the PTI candidate on March 10, adding that the PTI would continue its struggle for bringing a real change in the country. The PTI leader said the nation must rise against the corrupt and incapable politicians, adding that the rulers had been living luxurious lives by imposing heavy taxes on the poor and that’s the reason that Nawaz Sharif was trying hard to support the existing system. He said leadership of both PPP and PML-N had fled from the country by making deals with the military dictators whenever they felt threatened, but they never tried to shun their corrupt practices or to return the looted public money kept in foreign banks. He said PTI would hold all the corrupt rulers and leaders accountable to realise the dream Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal. Meanwhile, in a statement on the occasion of International Women’s Day, PTI chief Imran Khan said women can play vital role to bring about change in in nation building.
