Birthday celebrations of Hazrat Ali (AS)

Islamabad: To chalk out a countrywide programme in connection with the birthday of Hazrat Ali (AS), a meeting of the central executive committee of Markazi Imam Hussain Council was held under the chairmanship of Dr Ghazanfar Mehdi.
It was decided that the main ceremony of birthday conference titled ‘Teachings of Hazrat Ali (AS) & Unity of Muslim Ummah’ would be held today (Monday) at a local hotel in Rawalpindi in which more than 1,000 Ulema and Mashaikh belonging to various schools of thought would participate.
The Melad-e-Ali Committee of Nurpur Shahan will arrange the birthday seminar of Hazrat Ali (AS) tomorrow (Tuesday) at the residence of Pir Syed Mushtaq Hussain Gillani at Pir House Nurpur Shahan. After the conference, a Mehfil-e-Sama will continue till Fajr prayers.
On July 8 (Wednesday), the birthday conference of Hazrat Ali (AS) will be held at Jamia Masjid & Imam Bargah Al-Hussain at Sector F-11.
It was decided that such conferences would be held in Karachi, Multan, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Skardu, Muzaffarabad, Hyderabad and Faisalabad.
The participants have asked all Ulema and Mashaikh to appeal to the masses for the unity of Muslim Ummah.
