THE World Asthma Day 2009 will be observed around the world including Pakistan on Tuesday (today) under this year’s theme “You Can Control Your Asthma”.
The public awareness seminars will be organized in different hospitals to highlight various aspects of prevention, control and treatment of asthma patients.
The Children’s Hospital and The Institute of Child Health, Lahore, have organized an interactive public awareness seminar at hospital’s Shaukat Raza Khan Auditorium on Tuesday (today) at 10 am to promote the message among the parents of young children with asthma that “Your Child’s Asthma Can Be Controlled”. The young asthma patients, their parents and school students will participate and will be educated for modern treatment of asthma by the experts.
The Department of Chest Diseases of King Edward Medical University/Mayo Hospital has also organized a seminar in connection with World Asthma Day on Tuesday (today) at KEMU Auditorium at 9 am. KEMU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zafarullah Khan will be the chief guest.
A conference will be organized in the Department of Chest Diseases of Shaikh Zayed Hospital on Tuesday (today) at 12:30 pm where experts will throw light on various aspects of asthma.
