BUREWALA: PML-N leader MNA Tehmina Daultana claimed on Saturday that President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani had asked Richard Holbrooke to increase the drone attacks on the tribal areas.
Addressing traders and lawyers here on Saturday, she claimed the American embassy had called her to meet Richard Holbrooke and that during their meeting Holbrooke had told her that during his talks with Zardari, Gilani and the interior and information ministers, they had demanded an increase in the drone attacks.
She said the PPP government had allowed the Americans to carry out drone attacks on the tribal areas to earn money as former president Pervez Musharraf did during his regime.
Our ancestors have given great sacrifices for the country but President Asif Ali Zardari is toeing Musharraf’s line and protecting the Americans rights by killing innocent people in the name of the war against terrorism, she said.
