ISLAMABAD: A two-day ‘Meet the Nobel Laureate’ programme, jointly launched by Comsats Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad, and Comstech at National Library Auditorium culminated here on Friday. The programme was held in line with the international celebration of Physics endorsing the year 2005 as the Year of Physics by the United Nations, says a press release. Ivar Giaever, the Norway-born Nobel laureate, delivered a lecture on ‘How to use high-tech help to start the business’. The session was jointly chaired by Dr Samar Mubarakmand, Chairman Nescom and Chaudhry Nouraiz Shakoor Khan, Federal Minister for Science and Technology. Dr Ivar Giaever delivered a lecture on ‘Nobel Prize and the Future of Science’.
