Terrorists enter Balochistan from Waziristan: Bugti

TTP commander among three arrested; gunmen attack passenger coach in Turbat

QUETTA: Provincial Home Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has said that terrorists also entered Balochistan from Waziristan after Operation Zarb-e-Azb was launched there. Meanwhile, security forces and sensitive agencies in a joint action arrested three terrorists including a TTP commander. On the other hand, miscreants attacked a passenger coach in Turbat.
In an interview on Sunday, he said that when the armed forces launched an operation against militants in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata), a number of anti-peace elements also entered Balochistan through Zhob and other areas. “We, however, took swift action to apprehend these anti-peace elements and to stop their further entry into Balochistan,” he said.
He said that when the army destroyed hideouts of terrorists in Waziristan, most of them established their new hideouts along the Pakistan-Afghan border, both in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan and some of them had also entered Balochistan.
“Following intelligence information, we carried out security operations against terrorists in Zhob, Sanjawi, Dalbandin and other areas to destroy their new network,” he said. The home minister said that Operation Zarb-e-Azb also helped in restoring peace and the maintenance of law and order in Balochistan. “Local networks of militants in Balochistan had also links with banned militant organisations working in Fata and Waziristan, but when Operation Zarb-e-Azb destroyed the hideouts of militants in Waziristan, it also weakened militant organisations working in Balochistan, “he said. He said that some foreign forces were involved in financially supporting terrorist organisations in Balochistan to damage the Pak-China Economic Corridor Project.
“Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif are appreciated for announcing Pur-Aman Balochistan’ plan to foil the conspiracies of the enemies of the Pakistan who want to damage Gwadar-Kashghar Economic Corridor Project in Balochistan,” he said.
He said the government had adopted zero-tolerance policy against terrorism to make Balochistan a completely peaceful province.Meanwhile, unknown gunmen opened fire at a passenger bus in Nasir Abad area of Turbat district on Sunday no causality was reported.
According to the Levies sources a Karachi bound passenger coach from Mand carrying people was on its way when armed men opened fire at it and managed to escape from the scene. Commuters remained safe in the attack.Levies force reached the site and cordoned off the entire area and started efforts to trace out suspects.

Security forces in a joint operation in Nasai area of Killa Saifullah arrested an important commander of Tehreek Taliban. He was involved in acts of terrorism.Meanwhile, in Killi Ismail Quetta security forces and police in joint operation arrested BLA commander. He was involved in different incidents of target killing in Satellite Town, Prince Road and other areas. He was shifted to unknown site for interrogation.
