The sources stated that Mian Amer had tried to remove grievances of Nawaz Sharif against him and expressed his willingness to resign from his portfolio on the his directions if Nawaz promised to have a soft corner for him.

However, when contacted, Pervaiz Rasheed, the Panistan Muslim League-Nawaz spokesman and advisor to CM, denied any such meeting.

Nevertheless, the close aides of Main Amer Mahmood, confirming Mian Amer’s meeting with Nawaz Sharif, said the meeting was held on the request of Mian Amer Mahmood because he wanted to improve working relationship with Sharifs as he was facing difficulty in receiving funds for the district government from the provincial government.
