PAKISTAN Tehirk-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has proceeded to England to pursue the case against MQM chief Altaf Hussain after the newly elected government declined to cooperate with the Scotland Yard in the investigations. This was stated by PTI central information secretary Umer Cheema at a press conference at party office, here Monday.

He said like the previous government, the new elected government had also declined to cooperate with the Scotland Yard in investigations against a terrorist organisation and its illegal activities in the country. He said Imran will consult with his lawyers in England on the ways to further pursue the case. He also demanded that the government should put an end to the practice of mini budgets which raised fuel prices every second week. He said the government should take special measures to end unemployment and inflation from the country and announce major relief in the coming budget. He criticised the heavy protocol and security being meted out to PPP Co-Chair Asif Zardari taking the plea that government expenditure on providing protocol to non-elected party heads was a burden on the poor man’s pocket. He said the taxes paid by common citizens were being used to provide security to these non-elected party heads and not on development projects. He announced that PTI will fully participate in the lawyers’ long march starting 10 June, while adding that PTI Chairman Imran Khan and other leaders will receive the lawyers in Islamabad on 13 June. The PTI leader also condemned the suicide bomb attack in Islamabad and condoled with the victims of the blast.
