‘Kitab Mela’ on February 24-25

Islamabad: The National Book Foundation (NBF) would organise a two-day ‘Kitab Mela’ on occasion of Social Sciences Expo 2016 onFebruary 24-25 at the Pak-China Friendship Centre, Islamabad, says a press release.

More than 25 publishers, booksellers and printers would set up bookstalls at the two-day event for promoting book reading culture among different segments of society. Special discount would also be offered on books. Moreover, lucky book draw and book launching ceremonies will also be part of ‘Kitab Mela’. Adviser to the Prime Minister on National History and Literacy Heritage Irfan Siddiqui would inaugurate the bookfair as chief guest. NBF Managing Director Professor Dr Inam ul Haq Javeid, Inter-University Consortium Chairman andVice ChancellorHaripur UniversityDr Nasser Ali Khan, Abdul Wali Khan University Vice Chancellor Dr Ihsan Ali, Inter-University Consortium National Coordinator Muhammad MurtazaNoor and writers would also be present on occasion.
