Three of a family perish as dumper hits rickshaw

Seven people, including three members of a family, died in road crashes on Tuesday.

An accident took five lives near Baldia Town No-2, in which Muhammad Nazeer, 40, and his two daughters --two-year-old Dua and eight-year-old Asifa --died along with two other people, who were identified as 15-year-old Sakeena and 30-year-old Rizwan.

The unfortunate passengers were returning home from a marriage ceremony in a rickshaw which was struck by a dumper truck.

Their bodies were shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi for legal formalities.

In a separate accident, Mubisher, 45, died after his motorcycle was hit by a vehicle in Gulshan-e-Maymar.

Crossing a road near the Jama Cloth Market, an unidentified man, said to 60 years old, lost his life after a vehicle ran him over.

Murdered

The body of a man, identified as 25-year-old Muhammad Zameer, was spotted near C-1 Area in Liaquatabad, and it was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities.

Police said the man could have been killed due to a personal enmity.

The body of 58-year-old Razia, wife of Chand Bhai, was found in her flat situated in the Johar Complex.

According to a police officer, the woman’s throat was slit and investigations are underway to catch the killer.
