65th death anniversary of Ch Rahmat Ali

Rawalpindi: Pakistan National Movement in collaboration with Viqar-un-Nisa Postgraduate College will observe 65th death anniversary of Chaudhry Rahmat Ali on February 3 (Wednesday) to eulogise the services of Ch Rahamt Ali, who carved, conceived and coined the name of our homeland Pakistan.

Pakistan National Movement (PNM) President M Yousuf Aziz, said that PNM has published a six colour calendar for the year 2016 in his memory as per their annual feature in this regard. The calendar contains major events of late Chaudhry Rahmat Ali’s life and details of his contribution to the cause and creation of a new Muslim state -- Pakistan -- in South Asia to cherish the aspirations of millions of Muslims living in this part of the globe and the world has seen ever increasing positive contribution of Pakistanis in the comity of nations. "

In the function prominent speaker and scholars including Gen (r) Ayaz Ahmad, Saira Mufti, principal of the college, M. Yousuf Aziz, president, PNM, Rao Muhammad Aslam, secretary general of Society of Asian Civilization, Professor Dr. Farhat Gill, NIPS of QAU, Shazia Taslim, HOD, department of History, Kashmir Road College, Rawalpindi, Nazir Tabbassum, secretary general, and Muhammad Hussain Tahir, information secretary of PNM along with students of the college will highlight the services of Chaudhry Rahmat Ali for the creation of Pakistan, besides carving its name some fourteen and half years earlier than it actualization. Speech contest and quiz programme among the college students will also be held.
