NAB interfering in affairs of established institutions of Sindh: Qaim

SUKKUR: The Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, while addressing the District Bar Association of Jacobabad at its oath-taking ceremony, said that there was the Anti-Corruption Establishment to curb corruption and it was doing a good job.

However, he said that NAB was interfering in the affairs of the established institutions of Sindh. He said the 18th Amendment had empowered the provinces to bring about laws and not accept any interference by the Centre in the administrative affairs.

He said there was no famine in Thar and Mithi and that holding the Sindh government responsible for the deaths in Thar was unjustified.

While listening to other speeches, the audience felt that the chief minister had dozed off for a while. Later, the chief minister announced one million rupee grant for the Jacobabad DBA.
