In his recent interview with a foreign journalist, Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed concerns that the fallout of a potential civil war across the border could flow into Pakistan. The way he spoke about the possible difficult situation right after America’s exit was remarkably compelling.
However, at the end of the interview, while talking about a different topic, he said that women in Pakistan enjoyed more respect and dignity than those in western countries. Hopefully, the prime minister will change this statement once he realises how women in Pakistan are being deprived of their share in property and that domestic violence is on the rise in our society.
