ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Thursday said rigged polls in Azad Kashmir and controversial elections in Sialkot supported their viewpoint that the incumbent government imposed on the masses was selected.
‘The present government is a result of rigged polls and it has nothing to do with politics and political traditions,’ PMLN Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal said in a statement.
He said controversial and rigged polls in AJK and Sialkot had proved to the world that in 2018 a drama in the name of democracy was staged and Imran Khan Niazi was the main character of it.
He said with the passage of time, the PMLN narrative of ‘vote ko izzat do’ was getting stronger adding that the puppet governments would continue to come till the opinion of people was given.
Ahsan maintained that there was no grouping or ideological differences in the party and all the leaders and workers were united under Nawaz Sharif’s leadership.
