Rawalpindi : The police have arrested a man allegedly for killing a woman and her 14-month-old son in Chauntra, the police sources told ‘The News’ on Tuesday.
“The accused, Wajid Ali, a furniture trader, a resident of Mahuta Mohrha, Chak Baili Khan, allegedly kidnapped Naseem Bibi, 39, wife of Ghaffar and her minor son Gulfam and took them to a jungle adjacent to Chauntra where he allegedly raped her, the police, quoting FIR said adding the accused later attacked Naseem Bibi with a dagger wounding her critically. She sustained a deep wound on her neck. He later allegedly wounded the minor also. The minor sustained a serious wound on his neck causing his death on the spot.
“The victim struggled for her life in hospital for over three hours but succumbed to her injuries due to excessive bleeding as she was shifted to the hospital quite late,” the hospital sources said.
The police have registered an FIR under section 302/324/376 PPC on the complaint of the sister of the victim. The accused is under investigation by the police. A picture of the victim woman went viral on social media sitting on debris with the dead body of her minor son lying close to her who was tortured to death by the grotesque person before her rape, the people of the area, quoting her dying declaration, disclosed.
