PPP announces candidates for top DMC posts

In his capacity aspresident of thePakistan People'sParty's Sindh chapter,Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Wednesday nominated party candidates for the top municipal posts of Karachi’s district council and districts Malir and South.

The nominations were made public following the approval of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

The PPP nominated Salman Abdullah Murad as candidate for chairman of District Council Karachi - comprising of the city’s suburban areas – while Rafiq Jat was nominated for the post of vice-chairman. The party nominated Jan Muhammad Baloch as candidate for chairman District Municipal Corporation Malir, and Abdul Khaliq Marwat for vice-chairman. For DMC South, the PPP had nominated Malik Fayyaz for the post of chairman.

The CM also constituted divisional boards of the party to nominate PPP candidates on reserved seats of the provincial district councils.
