BEIJING: China said on Wednesday it will lodge a protest with North Korea after it said it had successfully conducted a test of a miniaturised hydrogen nuclear device.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said at a daily news briefing that China would "launch solemn representations" with North Korea.
Foreign Ministry that Beijing did not have advance knowledge of North Korea´s test, adding that it firmly opposes Pyongyang´s action.
Hua Chunying said that China would work with the international community on the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.
