Mishaps claim six lives

Six people, including a woman, died and four others were injured in different mishaps on Saturday.

Twenty-two-year-old Essa, son of Moosa, died after his motorcycle collided with a vehicle near the Natha Khan Bridge, Sharea Faisal.

Crossing a road in the SITE-A police jurisdiction, an unidentified woman, appeared to be 30 years, was run over by a vehicle near the Siemens Chowrangi.

In another road crash, 48-year-old Shakir died and his 75-year-old father, Inayat, was injured after their motorcycle was struck by a vehicle at the Tipu Sultan Road, Firozabad area.

Crossing a railway track, Ali Asghar, 35, died after he came under the wheels of a passenger train near the Drig Colony Railway Station.

Shafiq, 32, lost his life after he fell off the rooftop of an under construction building situated near the Medicare Hospital, Bahadurabad area.

Working in a local garments factory in the Korangi Industrial Area police limits, 30-year-old Ali and his three colleagues - Shakeel, Zain and Ikram - accidentally fell down in a chemical tank.

Factory workers immediately took them to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre in critical conditions; however, Ali breathed his last on the way to the hospital.
