Islamabad :TopCity-1 sponsored and hosted one of the biggest TEDx events of Pakistan, in Islamabad, under the licensed name TEDxSaddarRoad, says a press release.
TopCity-1 being one of the top residential projects in the twin cities, believes that while undergoing a digital transformation and entering the 5G era, innovation is increasingly becoming something our society cannot live without. The businesses of today in particular, regardless of their type or magnitude, must embrace innovation and technology to stay competitive and relevant in this increasingly digital age.

TED is a non-profit organisation devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where technology, entertainment, and design converged, and today covers almost all topics - from science to business to global issues - in more than 100 languages. Meanwhile, independently run TEDx events to help share ideas in communities around the world.
The TEDxTalk conference at TEDxSaddarRoad had the theme ‘Thriving with Innovation’ which revolved around the need and practice of innovation in architecture, entrepreneurship and sustainability alongside bringing together a group of remarkable people who have contributed immensely in their respective fields.
The conference had an amazing line-up of speakers coming from diverse fields and backgrounds. This way, exactly executing the key principle of TED i.e. inclusion of diversity. The notable speakers were namely, the top-notch architect of Pakistan and a brilliant Philanthropist Shahid Abdulla, the very well-known designer and the leading face of Pakistan’s fashion industry, Hassan Sheheryar Yasin famously known as HSY, the talented actress and producer Hareem Farooq, the visionary architect and entrepreneur Maria Aslam, the idealistic and a very humble social activist and educationist Khola Mustafa and news and media professional Raza Syed. They all shared their thoughts regarding the need for innovation for society to thrive, the future of their respective industries, and how innovation can play a key role in the industry’s growth. The talks also shed light on the personal experience of the speakers and how they integrated it in their relative field of work; these talks were extended to a diverse audience who had come from various professional backgrounds. The event was streamed live on the official YouTube channel of TopCity-1.
