LAHORE:A youth was shot dead by a cop along with his two accomplices in the Shahdara area on Sunday following a minor issue.
The victim has been identified as Zain Jameel, son of Muhammad Jameel of Lajpat Road, Shahdara. He and his brother Jehanzeb were going to bazaar when a cop named Waseem alias Chehma, along with Muhib and Atif intercepted them near a bakery on Lajpat Road and opened indiscriminate firing, as a result, Zain and a pedestrian Amjad Ali were injured. The accused fled away from the scene. The injured were removed to hospital where Zain succumbed to his wounds.
The accused had nurtured a grudge against the victim over a dispute between children five days ago. Police removed the body to morgue and registered a murder case against three alleged murderers on the complaint of the victim’s brother, Jehanzeb.
In another incident, a 50-year old man was shot dead by his three cousins in the Hanjarwal police area on Sunday. The victim was identified as Faqeer Hussain. The accused Shaukat, Shehzad and Makha used to hang out with rovers. Their cousin Faqeer complained to their father about it, on which they nursed a grudge against him. On the day of the incident, the three approached the victim and shot at and wounded him. The injured was rushed to hospital where he died. Police shifted the body to morgue.
man gunned down: A man was killed by three robbers on Jia Baga Road, Raiwind City.
The victim has identified as Irfan, son of Muhammad Sadique of Adda Plot Havelli Junjatay. Irfan and his brother Waseem were on their way back home from their shop on a bike when three robbers intercepted their vehicle and made them hostage at gunpoint. The robbers snatched a cell phone and Rs20,000 cash. The robbers fired shots at them from behind when both brothers tried to flee. As a result, Irfan suffered fatal bullet wounds. He was rushed to hospital where he died. Police removed the body to morgue and registered a case on the complaint of victim's brother Waseem.

The alleged robbers have been identified as Saad and Waqar. The accused fired shots at cops when the accused were on their way back after committing a crime. As a result, a cop suffered a bullet wound. However, police arrested both criminals. The injured cop was removed to hospital where his condition was stated to be stable.

Accused Aqeel was fleeing from Taranda Muhammad Panah to Lahore after killing his sister-in-law. The accused had taken his younger niece with him after the murder. The accused was traced along with the girl in the bus at Movie Point Renala Khurd. The accused was handed over to the local district police along with the girl.
