A young man was shot dead in Surjani Town over a personal enmity, while a minor girl and seven other people suffered injuries due to muggers, stray bullets and stabbing on Sunday.
The Surjani Town police said 25-year-old Karim Nawaz Khan was gunned down in Sector 7B, adding that the deceased was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH).
SHO Asad-un-Nabi said the victim hailed from Quetta and had been living in Karachi’s Surjani Town. Police said the man was a goatherd by profession, adding that he was tending to his goats when unidentified motorcyclists shot him dead.
Officials said the victim was a father of two. Quoting the family of the deceased, police said the man was murdered over a personal enmity.
The Defence police said 30-year-old Haq Nawaz was shot during an attempt to rob him in Qayyumabad’s B Area. Officials said the victim was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
The Pak Colony police said 32-year-old Nazim suffered a gunshot wound due to a stray bullet near the Old Golimar area. Officials said the victim was taken to the Dr Ruth KM Pfau Civil
Hospital Karachi.
In the Sher Shah area, 60-year-old Taj Muhammad was shot during an attempt to rob him, according to the police. The Pirabad police said 13-year-old Waqas Alam suffered a gunshot wound due to a stray bullet in Frontier Colony.
The Sher Shah police said three-year-old Nadia Nasir suffered a gunshot wound due to a stray bullet on Alamgir Road. The Mominabad police said 21-year-old Wazira Ismail suffered a gunshot wound due to a stray bullet in Orangi Town. Officials said the victim was taken to ASH.
The SITE A Section police said 55-year-old Babu suffered a gunshot wound near Ghani Chowrangi. Officials said the victim was taken to ASH. The PIB Colony police said 32-year-old Zeeshan was stabbed during a clash in Essa Nagri. Officials said the victim was taken to ASH.
