As far as beauty looks were concerned, this year’s BAFTA TV Awards didn’t disappoint, and unexpected glamorous looks remained a constant. From gorgeous gowns to dazzling hair and makeup, A-listers served up fabulous fashion and beauty looks. Here’s a round up of some of our favourite beauty looks from the big night.

Nicola Coughlan

The Bridgerton star looked stunning in a custom-made fluorescent orange gown by Maison Valentino. Nicola Coughlan’s entire look was all about bright hues and it was her eye makeup that stole the look. Celebrity makeup artist Neil Young contrasted her vivid dress with smokey blue eyes, nude lips, flushed cheeks and sleek straight hair. She paired her outfit with vibrant pink heels and further accessorised her look with Vashi fine jewellery. Not too bad!

Michaela Coel

For the award night, the I May Destroy You creator, writer, co-director , and executive producer Michaela Coel opted for newgeneration designers. She wore a black and red Maximilian Davis gown with striking backless detail and finished her look with chunky gold jewellery by Alighieri. Makeup artist Bernica Boateng opted for a dewy makeup look, subtle kohl-rimmed eyes and nude lip colour, while her hairstylist gave her slicked-back hair. The overall look was effortless and chic.

Jodie Comer

The Killing Eve star, Jodie Comer, kept it graceful in a navy silk tank and matching tailored trousers by designer Gabriela Hearst. To finish off her understated trouser-top combo, Jodie Comer went with subtle makeup look, courtesy of makeup artist Alex Babsky who used soft pink shades on her eyes, lips and cheeks. As for her hair, Sam McKnight created loose, beachy waves that didn’t create ruckus but somehow made it seem polished, complementing her overall look.

Helena Bonham Carter

Helena Bonham Carter, who was nominated for the Supporting Actress trophy for her portrayal of Princess Margaret in The Crown, brought some dramatic flair to the award ceremony. She opted for a voluminous, tiered tulle polka-dot gown by Dolce & Gabbana in black and white. Helena went with a bold red lip colour and accessorised her look with retro sunglasses and statement earrings.

Aimee Lou Wood

Aimee Lou Wood wore a floor-length white and pink floral gown with a statement collar by Miu Miu. Her hair was a nod to the ‘60s, courtesy of hair legend Patrick Wilson, who created a voluminous bouffant hairstyle. Keeping her dress in mind, makeup artist Emily Wood went with a vintage makeup look with long lashes on top and bottom and a muted nude lip finished with lots of mascara to create fluttery, doll-like lashes.

Lydia West

Lydia West, the actor from It’s a Sin looked stylish in a black Loewe gown, featuring white ruffled sleeves. Everything about Lydia West’s look was elegant, from her dress to her sculptural side fringe hairdo and classic makeup. For her makeup, celebrity artist Valeria Ferreira gave her a soft, pretty look and kept the emphasis on her eyes by using loads of mascara to achieve those long, feathery lashes. She completed her look by wearing Jessica McCormack jewellery.

Zawe Ashton

Zawe Ashton from Handmaid’s Tale dazzled on the red carpet in a dramatic Zimmermann gown. The dusty pink, full-length flowy dress featured a psychedelic print, structured sleeves and a giant bow at the neckline.
