LAHORE: The SNGPL Special Task Force on UFG has conducted a series of successful raids in Mardan and Peshawar and caught many direct use/bypass cases.
The task force first targeted the Kandar village, Nowshera, and caught a bypass line installed on 2-inch diameter supply line, delivering gas to more than 30 houses. In another raid, the task force caught 9 direct use cases red-handed, through which gas was being pilfered and supplied to more than 20 houses in the Kandar village.
The operation continued till late night and all direct use and bypass pipes were removed and lines were repaired on the spot. The task force went to Tehsil Banda Daud Shah, District Karrak, and caught a plaster of Paris manufacturing industrial unit red-handed while pilfering gas. Plastic pipes being used in gas pilferage were recovered and the bypass was removed on the spot. The next raid was conducted in BD Shah of District Karrak and the task force disconnected four bypass cases through which gas was being used in four hotels.
