Peace, justice enshrined in teachings of Holy Prophet (PBUH)

Ulema and religious scholars of all schools of thought were unanimous on Thursday that peace and justice could be established in the society by acting upon the teachings and Sunnah (life) of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) in true spirit.

Addressing the annual National Seerah Conference titled Review of Pakistan s Prevalent Democratic Political System in light of teachings of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) they said peace could only be ensured through justice and equality among all segments of the society.

They said the Islamic teachings enshrined peace and justice.

The Holy Prophet (PBUH) s teachings should be highlighted at every forum for better understanding of Islam by followers of other religions and enabling Muslims to follow the Sunnah.

Equality and even justice encompassing punishment for culprits without any discrimination were the keys for establishing a peaceful society and achieving success in the world and the hereafter, they added.

The scholars said sectarian harmony could be forged by following the Holy Prophet s teachings and emulating his Seerah.

The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) they said was the greatest benefactor of humanity as he taught for doing justice forgiving others mistakes helping others showing sympathy with the oppressed and spreading love and affinity besides eliminating evils and vices from the society.

Islam is a religion of peace brotherhood and co existence as it provides a complete code of life to the Muslims they observed.

They viewed that the Holy Quran had the solution to every problem faced by the Muslims and they should seek guidance from the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) s teachings.

General Secretary Wafaqul Madaris Pakistan Qari Muhammad Hanif Jalandhri said Islam was a complete code of life and guided Muslims in every aspect of individual and collective affairs of the society.

Islam stresses the importance of consultation process in dealing with the affairs of State and in this perspective Parliament is the right forum to discuss national issues he added.

Dr Hafiz Muhammad Munir Al Azhari said that in the light of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) s teachings the government should work for the betterment of oppressed segments of the society.

He highlighted the importance of uniform education system in the country for the promotion of harmony.

It should be made mandatory for parliamentarians bureaucrats and ruling elite to deeply study the Seerah un Nabi (PBUH) so that they could perform their responsibilities in a best way he added.

Allama Syed Niaz Hussain Naqvi highlighted the importance of justice system in Islam.

Chief guest Grand Mufti of Istanbul (Turkey) Rahmi Yaran shed light on various aspects of the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and urged the Muslims to follow the golden principles of Islam to attain the lost glory.

Secretary Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sohail Aamir said that the purpose of holding national conference was to highlight the importance of the day and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

Literature on the Sunnah had been uploaded on the website of Religious Ministry so that people could read it easily he added.

He said activities of Religious Ministry were being shared on social media.

Minister of State Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Aminul Hasnat Shah said that Holy Prophet gave the message of justice equality and brotherhood for establishing a peaceful society.

Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf said thatthe Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) was a blessing for the entire mankind.

Understanding the Holy Prophet (PBUH) s Seerah was imperative for comprehending Islam.

He underlined the importance of media s role in spreading the teachings of Islam and the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and stressed the need of collective efforts by all Muslim countries to counter negative propaganda against the religion.

He said the government had promoted the culture of tolerance in the society. He said the operation Zarb e Azb had been heading towards its end with positive gains and paid tribute to the security forces personnel who had laid their lives in the line of their duty. Prizes were distributed among the best book writers and literature on Seerah un Nabi (PBUH).
