Sindh HealthMinister Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has directed the health secretary and head of theEPI Programme to submit a report within three daysregarding deaths caused by measles in Mirpurkhas and Shahdadkot andthe measures being taken to prevent further such incidents.
Presiding over a meeting at his office on Monday,Daharsaid that it was a matter of serious concern that two children had died of measles and concrete measures should be taken in this regard. Hedirected the healthsecretary to take steps to sortout the shortage of doctors and paramedics in Civil Hospital Dadu.
Dahar said there was no shortage of medicines forthe EPI Programme and tenders hadbeen published to purchase hepatitis vaccine on court orders.
