She said martyred students conveyed a loud and clear message to the enemies of Pakistan that the country would continue to fight against the evil of terrorism. The martyrdom of innocent children united the entire nation to root out terrorism from the society, she added. She also paid homage to Tahira Qazi, APS principal, who lost her life while protecting the children. She said she was a leader who led from the front and set an example for the others. Her courage helped to save many lives that day, she added.

PTI Information Secretary Andleeb Abbas said 16 December 2014 was a black day and a day of great pain and sorrow when small and beautiful roses of their parents were attacked by the heartless beasts. A National Action Plan (NAP) was then developed in order to fight out terrorism, she added.

The best way to pay tribute to the APS children is to effectively implement the NAP in its true spirit so that such an incidence never occurs again, she added. She prayed for the departed souls and said the courage of the children and their innocence would always motivate us to safeguard the future of our children against these terrible enemies.
