Parachinar blast slammed

PESHAWAR: The Alamdar Students Federation (ASF) has denounced the terrorist attack in Parachinar and demanded the government and law-enforcement agencies to ensure security of people. Addressing a press conference on Monday, ASF President Maheem Ali Turi said that the government and security institutions had failed to protect the life and property of masses.

He condemned the attack at a market of second-hand clothes near the Thall Adda in Parachinar the other day. Turi said the locals fought alongside security forces to eliminate the terrorist groups in Parachinar. He said the local civil administration had completely failed to take appropriate measures for protection of lives and property of the masses.

Turi said the compensation announced by the government for heirs for the Parachinar blast was insufficient. He demanded increase of the compensation from Rs300,000 to Rs500,000 for each family of the deceased, and from Rs100,000 to Rs300,000 for the injured people.
