Activists of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement and the Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi clashed in Shah Faisal Colony on Sunday evening.
An MQM activist suffered gunshot wounds and a motorcycle was torched in the violence.
SHO Ijaz Khan said the activists of the two rival parties confronted each other in Shah Faisal No-3 and started shouting slogans against each other.
He added that unknown miscreants opened fire during the clash between the two groups. A motorcycle was also torched in the incident.

The SHO said the injured man was identified as Hassan, a resident of Shah Faisal Colony and an MQM activist. He said Hassan’s statement had been recorded and an FIR lodged against the people he had nominated.
A day earlier on polling day, rival political activists had clashed in Landhi over the hoisting of party flags and tearing of pictures and posters.
