Keeping in mind the results of the past general and local government elections, it is quite likely that the PML-N would be able to secure big majority of the UCs of Sialkot Municipal Corporation; however, close contests could be observed in Imam Sahib, Karimpura, Islamabad, Shah Syedan, Doburji Araian, Nekapura, Hajipura Bund and Muhammadpura, where influential local leaders of PML-N are in the arena as independent candidates after having differences with the top local leadership and the alliance between PTI and Jamaat-e-Islami could pose a threat to PML-N.
